It's that time of year again! Snow is on the ground, a chill is in the air, and there is excitement all around us. We have some delicious coffee recipes that were designed to match your festive mood. Each recipe starts with Gourmet Flavored Coffee and is guaranteed to lift your Christmas Spirit!
#1 Caramel Brûlée Latte
Ingredients:
- 1/3 cup Caramel Gourmet Flavored Coffee
- 1 tbsp. (½ oz.) caramel syrup
- 1 tbsp. (½ oz.) vanilla syrup
- 1 cup (8 oz.) milk (1%, 2%, or your favorite milk substitute)
- Drizzle caramel sauce
Directions:
- Brew a pot of Gourmet Flavored Coffee from Inner Peak Coffee Company.
- Heat milk (or milk substitute) over medium heat in a medium saucepan and whisk warm milk until frothy (about 30 seconds). Or use a French Press to froth the warm milk once it's heated. This can be achieved by filling the carafe and rapidly plunging the filter until the milk reaches your desired consistency.
- Combine caramel syrup, vanilla syrup, and espresso in a mug.
- Top with foamed milk, drizzle some caramel sauce (if you prefer some added sweetness).
- Serve and enjoy!
#2 Gingerbread Latte
Ingredients:
- 2 cups water
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 1/2 teaspoons ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup Cinnabun Gourmet Flavored Coffee
- 8 ounces milk, steamed (with a little foam)
- whipped cream
- ground nutmeg
Directions:
- Make the gingerbread syrup by combining water, sugar, ginger, cinnamon and vanilla in a medium saucepan. Make sure your pan is large enough so the mixture won’t boil over
- Bring mixture to a boil then reduce heat and simmer syrup, uncovered, for 15 minutes. Remove the syrup from the heat when it’s done and put a lid on it.
- Brew a pot of Gourmet Flavored Coffee from Inner Peak Coffee Company.
- Use the machine to steam 8 ounces of milk, or heat up the milk in the microwave if your machine does not foam and steam milk.
- Make your latte by first adding 1/2 cup coffee to a 16-ounce cup. Add 1/4 cup gingerbread syrup, followed by the steamed milk. Stir.
- Top off the drink with a dollop of whipped cream, and a sprinkle of nutmeg. Serve immediately.
#3 Salted Caramel Mocha Latte
Ingredients:
- 1 cup Caramel Gourmet Flavored Coffee
- 2 tbsp. caramel syrup
- 1 cup milk (or milk substitute)
- 2 tbsp. sweetener (sugar, brown sugar, honey, etc.)
- 1 tbsp. cocoa powder
- Caramel sauce for drizzling
- Whipped cream
- ⅛ tsp. sea salt
Directions:
- Brew a pot of Gourmet Flavored Coffee from Inner Peak Coffee Company.
- In a saucepan, warm milk over medium heat, and once steamy, froth milk using a whisk or French Press.
- Pour espresso (or strong-brewed coffee) into your mug.
- Combine cocoa powder, sweetener, and caramel syrup until completely blended.
- Top with frothed milk and add whipped cream, carameldrizzle (as much as you like), and a pinch of sea salt.
- Serve and enjoy this sweet and savory holiday coffee recipe!
#4 Eggnog Latte
Directions:
- Brew a pot of Gourmet Flavored Coffee from Inner Peak Coffee Company.
- Combine eggnog with milk and steam.
- Add coffee to steamed mixture.
- Sprinkle with nutmeg and serve immediately.
#5 Peppermint Mocha
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup of sugar
- 1/4 cup of water
- 3 teaspoons peppermint extract
- 3 tablespoons powered cocoa
- 3 tablespoons warm water
- 1/2 cup Mocha Gourmet Flavored Coffee
- 1.5 cups steamed milk
Directions:
- Brew a pot of Gourmet Flavored Coffee from Inner Peak Coffee Company.
- Stir water and sugar in a pot until sugar dissolves and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to a low simmer and add 1.5 teaspoons peppermint extract.
- Allow mixture to simmer for 20 minutes
- Mix cocoa and water in a cup until paste forms.
- Add coffee and 1.5 teaspoons peppermint extract.
- Add milk and serve immediately.
